Lattice — Lab Test Ordering & Results

Overview

Lattice is the operating console for an outpatient or inpatient laboratory and the providers who order into it. Providers place orders from a coded catalog (LOINC tests + CPT panels) with priority (routine / urgent / STAT), fasting flag, and clinical indication; orders move through an explicit lifecycle (ordered → in lab → partial → resulted → reviewed). Lab techs collect and receive specimens (chain-of-custody barcoded), enter numeric or text results, and Lattice computes the flag automatically against per-test reference ranges — normal, low, high, critical_low, critical_high — opening a critical alert the ordering provider must acknowledge with a note (closed-loop). Providers see an inbox grouped by status, drill into per-order detail with every specimen + result + alert, and finalize with a review note. Standing orders cover recurring monitoring (e.g., warfarin INR weekly). The admin console exposes the test/panel catalog, every order, every open critical alert, and an immutable audit trail of who did what and when.
