Atrium — Bed & Ward Management

Overview

Atrium gives ward staff and the patient-flow office the same real-time bed board. Beds across every ward are colour-coded by status — occupied, available, cleaning, blocked, reserved — with the patient, acuity and isolation status at a glance. ED, transfers and direct admits file a bed request; the flow office matches it to an open bed and admits the patient in one step. Discharges free the bed and flag it for turnover, EVS marks it ready, and transfers move patients without losing the trail. Census and occupancy are computed from the board itself — never a stale spreadsheet — and every placement, discharge and transfer is audit-logged.
